Lauren ate her first solid food today at lunch. Chef Mom prepared an exquisite bowl of rice cereal. Lauren wasn't too sure about this new stage in her life, as much of the cereal ended up on her clothes. She'll adjust, we would expect, but we might have to try Lucky Charms or Daddy's favorite, Cap'n Crunch, if she doesn't warm up to this rice cereal.

Lauren's Parent Commitment Service at Houston's First Baptist Church

Lauren's Parent Commitment Service was Sunday, March 4. It was a precious ceremony and Lauren couldn't have been cuter. We were the proudest parents of the bunch. Pastor Gregg told the spiritual meaning of each of the babies names and each baby had a special bible verse. Lauren's name means Victorious and the bible verse the church chose for her is: 1 John 5:4 "Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world...this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."
